In 2020, racism against people of Asian heritage, including international students, have increase due to the pandemic. In response to that, Resilience Against Racism was created to provide workshops to provide support to international students and other people of Asian heritage. ISANA was a key supporter of the workshops when it was first initiated and funded by Study Melbourne and the Scanlon Foundation. This presentation will present some of the data that was captured from the registration, the workshops and what they are, and the conversations that happened in these workshops. The workshops will enable staff to better understand the mental wellbeing of international students when they experienced or witnessed racism, and provide some strategies on how to support international students during this period.
