Study Gold Coast is the peak education & training industry body for the Gold Coast. Study Gold Coast operates the Gold Coast Student Hub within with support from the City of Gold Coast, Queensland Government, and our members, of which we have over 70. Gold Coast Student Hub is a destination for the Gold Coast student community to connect, access support, learn and explore the Gold Coast.

Since it’s opening on the 2 August 2017, Gold Coast Student Hub has seen over 20,000 student visits from over 100 nationalities and institutions. Gold Coast Student Hub quickly and strategically switched to the Virtual Gold Coast Student Hub between March 2020 and June 2020 to ensure we can stay connected and provide student support to our student community. We achieved this by delivering high quality & multi-lingual case management, support appointments and social events on-line. These were specifically designed to ensure the needs of our student community were pre-empted including homesickness, isolation and managing their mental health during these unprecedented times.

Gold Coast Student Hub operated a citywide Food Relief Program to provide Grocery Gift Cards, Grocery Packs, Frozen Meals and Food Hampers in partnerships with Study Queensland, Foodbank & FareShare. Between May 2020 and September 2020, Gold Coast Student Hub supported over 4,500 students with Grocery Packs & Grocery Gift Cards. In addition, we were able to establish seven distribution points across the Gold Coast to support students in need with Frozen Meals and Food Hampers delivered direct to their campus.
